Mr. Sorensenasked the Minister of Education in view of the futility of inflicting corporal punishment for sexual offences by boys, whether he will recommend to education committees that this form of punishment should cease and, where necessary, the delinquent should have psychiatric guidance.
§ Mr. TomlinsonThe regulation of corporal punishment in maintained schools is a matter for the local education authorities, and I should not want to interfere with their discretion in this matter.
