HC Deb 02 July 1951 vol 489 c187W
86. Mr. Ian Harvey

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power whether he is aware that residents in the Harrow area of Middlesex are experiencing great difficulty in obtaining supplies of domestic boiler fuel; and what steps he proposes to take in the matter.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

I have explained in reply to previous Questions that there is a growing demand in all areas for boiler fuel; that the National Coal Board are making every effort to increase the supplies of anthracite and phurnacite; and that I am now considering how the distribution of coke can be improved. The Harrow area will continue to receive its fair share of the supplies available.
