asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he can now state the policy of the Government towards the inclusion of Turkey in the North Atlantic Treaty.

I cannot at present add to the statements made on 30th May in reply to the hon. Member for Woking (Mr. Watkinson). We are still discussing this question with our allies, but I hope it will not be long before we reach a decision.
