Hotels 32,856 Civic Restaurants 406 Industrial Canteens and Hostels 40,299 Day Schools and Day Nurseries 24,427 97,988 In addition 88,110 restaurants and other establishments were recorded as serving main meals, but many of these were tea-shops, cafés and snack bars not entitled to allocations of meat.
