§ 68. Mrs. Mannasked the Minister of Food if he has considered the possibility of making available extra supplies of butter, outwith the ration, as on the same lines as gruyere, blue-vein and cream cheese.
§ Mr. WebbThere is no sign that the present butter ration satisfies the demand and I do not think it would be fair to let some people have extra butter. The cheeses my hon. Friend mentions are of a kind which would not be acceptable to everyone on the ration and that is why it was decided to allow them to he sold as additions to the ration.
