§ Mr. A. Edward Daviesasked the Minister of Transport what progress has been made in setting up area schemes for road passenger services, as provided for in the Transport Act, 1947.
§ Mr. BarnesThe British Transport Commission have submitted to me a scheme relating to the northern area of England and, in accordance with the procedure prescribed in the Eighth Schedule to the Transport Act, 1947, I have returned it to them with my observations, and it is still under discussion with them. I have received no scheme for any other area.
