asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will seek to secure a revision of the existing agreements with Canada in order to enable holders of Canadian securities to switch to other Canadian investments.

No. As explained by my predecessor to the House on 1st August last the Canadian Government have not felt able to agree to any modification of this particular condition attached to the 1942 Interest-Free Loan.
