HC Deb 02 August 1951 vol 491 cc228-9W
Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he can give an assurance that there will be an adequate supply of feedingstuffs for cattle during the coming winter months.

Mr. T. Williams

Final details of the arrangements for rations of feedingstuffs for livestock during the forthcoming winter are being worked out and will be announced in a few days. I hope that the scale of rations will be regarded as adequate.

Mr. Bossom

asked the Minister of Agriculture if he will consider issuing coupons for linseed cake against sales of linseed, as has been requested by the National Farmers' Union.

Mr. T. Williams

No. I would refer the hon. Member to the answer given on 25th April to the hon. Member for Newbury (Mr. Hurd) by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Food.
