§ Mr. Jannerasked the Minister of Labour what machinery is to be used to ensure that everything possible is to be done to maintain older people in employment in such public services as the Civil Service, the teaching profession, the Army, Navy, Air Force and the police.
Mr. LeeMy Department co-ordinates the activities of the various public services on this matter; and the individual services make any necessary changes in their policies and practices acting where appropriate through Whitley or other joint consultative machinery.
