HC Deb 23 April 1951 vol 487 c17W
113. Sir H. Roper

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power if he will give the names and experience of his advisers, both full-time and part-time, on matters relating to the development of metalliferous mining in Great Britain.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

The main technical advice at my disposal on the long-term development of this industry is that which was provided to my predecessor by the experts of the Mineral Development Committee in their Report published in July, 1949. I have no specialised staff dealing with this matter, and as, to my regret, there is no early possibility of implementing the recommendations in that Report, I do not think it would be right to appoint any.
