asked the Minister of Food what is the proportion between meat ration issue and main meals for all types of catering establishments and canteens, including school canteens.

It is estimated that, of the total quantity of ration quality carcase meat consumed during 1950, 3.9 per cent. was supplied to industrial canteens, 3.6 per cent. to school canteens, and 4.4 per cent. to hotels, restaurants and clubs. Of the total main meals served by catering establishments in a recent period 24.1 per cent. were supplied by industrial canteens, 22.7 per cent. by school canteens, and 53.2 per cent. by hotels, restaurants and clubs.
