HC Deb 23 April 1951 vol 487 c9W
79. Captain Duncan

asked the Minister of Supply whether he will give an assurance that the agricultural expansion programme will not be prejudiced by the reduction in the allocation of steel in 1951–52 for the manufacture of agricultural tractors and machinery.

Mr. G. R. Strauss

I cannot foretell steel allocations so far ahead, but there is no reason to suppose that the supply of agricultural tractors and machinery to the home market will not be adequate.
