§ Mr. TomlinsonI am sending the hon. Member a copy of Addendum No. 1 to Circular 210. It was represented to me that, in the case of girls, school uniform must be regarded as a virtual necessity on educational and social grounds. These considerations do not apply to anything like the same extent to boys, for whom I am prepared to admit for grant expenditure on caps and badges only.
