asked the Minister of Transport the cost per barrel of the transport of oil from the Persian Gulf to England in the years 1939 to 1948 inclusive.

Mr. Barnes

I am not able to give the rates per barrel, but the following statement gives the rates per ton.

"Passat." These were Finnish ships and naturally my consent to their disposal was not required.
