asked the Postmaster-General the number of new telephone installations made during the five years 1933 to 1938 and the number of requests for removals, with comparable connections, removals, and requests for connections during 1945 to 1950.

In the first period, there were 1,080,000 new installations; in the second period, 1,580,000 new installations and 1,920,000 requests. Separate figures of removals are not available.
