§ Mr. WebbDuring the six months ended December, 1949, 1,200 tons of frozen Polish geese were imported at a cost of between 2s. 10½d.-3s. 4½d. per lb. including duty, storage charges and distribution costs. Apart from a small quantity which were sold early this year all of these were disposed of by Christmas 1949, at the maximum controlled price of 3s. 8½d. per lb.
