Mr. H. WilsonI am prepared to consider on its merits any application which may be made for the abolition, on a temporary basis, of the import duty on timber houses. It would, of course, be necessary in considering such an application to have regard to the interests of the United Kingdom joinery industry and also to assess the effects of such action on our timber supplies.
