HC Deb 21 November 1950 vol 481 c36W
Sir T. Moore

asked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the congestion in traffic, he will use his powers under the London Passenger Transport Act, 1933, to limit the number of omnibuses in the London streets during the hours between 10.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.

Mr. Barnes

The London Transport Executive already operate fewer omnibuses consistently with the needs of the public between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The London and Home Counties Traffic Advisory Committee are studying the problem of traffic congestion in Central London and when I receive their report I will carefully consider any recommendations they may make.
