§ Mr. WebbThe difference between the estimated and the actual weight of carcases purchased by my Department between 1st January and 25th August was 3,407 tons which at the prices paid to108W farmers for the livestock would cost£652,257. This represents just under one per cent. of the cost of all the cattle, calves and sheep bought in this period.
