HL Deb 07 November 1950 vol 169 cc195-6WA
VISCOUNT BRIDGEMAN

asked His Majesty's Government whether they are aware that the Manual of Military Law is out of print, and when a reprint will be available to those who are required to have a knowledge of its contents.

THE MINISTER OF CIVIL AVIA-TION (LORD PAKENHAM)

TheManual of Military Law was last reprinted in 1945. A further reprint is not contemplated, as a fresh edition of the Manual is now in course of preparation. The revised edition will not be issued in one volume but in separate parts. It is expected that the first part, containing the Army Act and Rules of Procedure with notes, and including also the legislation providing for the hearing of appeals against convictions by courts-martial which is to be laid before Parliament in the current Session, will be published in the summer of 1951.
