§ 68. Mr. Teeling
asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether his attention has been called to the case of Mr. Sydney Brown, of the East African Posts and Telegraphs Department, who wishes to return to Brighton with his family; and 59W whether he will consider making an exception in his case as regards the free allowance for only three adults for the journey home.
Yes, my attention has been drawn to this case. Since the cost of any concession to Mr. Brown would fall to local funds, the East Africa High Commission are being consulted as to whether any further assistance can be granted on compassionate grounds
