§ Mr. Viantasked the Minister of Health whether inquests were held in connection with the three deaths from post-vaccinal encephalitis which took place during the year 1948 as reported in the report of 187W the chief medical officer of health recently published, or why not.
§ Mr. BevanAn inquest was held on one of these deaths and another was referred to the coroner, who considered, after a post-mortem had been held, that an inquest was unnecessary. Deaths from this cause need not be referred to the coroner unless they present special features.
