CrippsI regret that present conditions, including especially the need for exchange control, prevent the resumption of pre-war facilities, such as the waiving of passport requirements, for these day excursions to the Continent. The available staff is, moreover, fully occupied. and its diversion to this traffic would interfere with the proper control of the regular cross-Channel services.
