Mr. H. WilsonThe only Board of Trade regulations in this matter are the Orders we now have which define the specifications of utility cloths. There are, a large number of these specifications, covering many types of cloth, all cotton, all wool, all rayon and mixtures. Detailed statistics of the composition of mixture fabrics, either now or pre-war, are not available, but the quantities of rayon and cotton used in woollen spinning and felting, for example, in April, 1950, were 500,000 lb. and 740,000 lb. respectively out of a total raw material consumption of 27,160,000 lb.
