§ Mr. BevanThe average annual death-rates per million living in the four periods mentioned were approximately 1,880, 1,310, 1,010 and 630, and in 1949 the rate was (provisionally) 565. Notifications averaged 930, 580, 520 and 350, and in 1949 were 453.
