§ 97. Mr. Peter Smithersasked the Secretary of State for War whether he will postpone any further evictions from Hiltingbury Camp, Chandlers Ford, until a satisfactory agreement has been reached with Eastleigh borough council as to the reception or housing of the persons to be evicted.
§ Mr. StracheyWhile the grave shortage of Army married accommodation makes it impossible for me to give an assurance in these terms, I am prepared to allow these ex-Service families a reasonable extension of time.
