§ 98. Mr. Boyd-Carpenterasked the Minister of Health to what extent local authorities are showing willingness to accept building licences transferred from other local authorities; and whether he will issue a circular urging fuller adoption of this practice.
§ Mr. BevanDetails of transfers of building licences between local authorities are not available. Special attention was drawn to the power to make such transfers and their advantages in a circular issued on 17th May last, and I do not think that any further action on my part is required.
§ Mr. G. Cooperasked the Minister of Health to what extent the transferable licence scheme has proved successful; and how far he is proposing to use his power of direction in the case of local authorities who have resisted the scheme.
§ Mr. BevanI would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the reply given today to the hon. Member for Kingston-upon-Thames (Mr. Boyd-Carpenter).
