WilsonDeliveries of utility overall cloths to the home market have risen by over 20 per cent. in the last 12 months, but in view of the very heavy demands both for the home and overseas markets, the Committee which I have set up under the chairmanship of the Parliamentary Secretary is giving special attention to measures to secure a further increase of supply. I cannot accept that the quality of utility overalls is unsatisfactory. It has been necessary to raise the statutory maximum prices for these goods in view of the increase in the price of cloth resulting from the increased cost of raw cotton.
