HC Deb 04 December 1950 vol 482 cc19-20W
110. Colonel Crosthwaite-Eyre

asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what regulations he has made under Section 60 of the Electricity Act, 1947, to prevent personal injury.

Mr. P. Noel-Baker

The Electricity Supply Regulations, 1937, and the Overhead Line Regulations, as last revised in 1947, both of which contain numerous provisions for preventing personal injury, are still in force; and although they were made by the Electricity Commissioners, they have effect, by virtue of Section 60 of the Electricity Act, 1947, as if they had been made by me under that Section.

I am now considering the revision of these regulations, and I hope in due course to lay revised codes before Parliament, as I am required to do under the Act of 1947.
