asked the Minister of Fuel and Power what are the comparative figures for coke stocks in the West Midlands area on 1st November. 1949, and 1st November, 1950.

Stocks of coke held by merchants and consumers, other than domestic consumers, in the Midland Region amounted to 120,000 tons on 28th October, 1950, compared with 130,000 tons a year before. Undistributed stocks at gasworks in the West Midlands Gas Board area and at the Staffordshire coke ovens on the same dates were 49,000 tons and 132,000 tons respectively.
