§ 81. Mr. M. Philips Priceasked the President of the Board of Trade whether any agreement has yet been come to between this country and the United States as to the type of goods that may be exported to the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics from the two countries.
Mr. BottornleyNo. If my hon. Friend has in mind questions of security I would emphasise that what controls should be imposed on security grounds on the export of goods to any particular destination is a matter for decision by His Majesty's Government. We do, however, keep in close touch in this matter with the Government of the United States and our principal partners in Western Europe and, of course, with the other Commonwealth Governments principally concerned.
