§ Mr. Granvilleasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that the 1950 census of distribution entails many hours' work for those concerned; and whether he will take steps to decrease the amount of work at present involved.
Mr. H. WilsonSteps have already been taken, in consultation with the Advisory Committee, to simplify the forms for the census of distribution, 1951. The information required in this census covers only the most important of the fields of inquiry suggested in the Report of the original Census of Distribution Committee under Sir Richard Hopkins (Cmd. 6764 1946). Small traders in particular will find that the figures required are available from their annual accounts.
