§ 27. Mr. Teelingasked the Minister of Labour whether, in view of the fact that the present 3 per cent. quota affords security for only about half the numbers of persons registered as disabled, he will take steps to raise the standard quota immediately, with special higher quotas for industries shown to be specially suitable for the employment of disabled persons.
§ Mr. IsaacsI am in full sympathy with the hon. Member's objective, but, after consultation with the National Advisory2W Council on the Employment of the Disabled I am convinced that this is not a practicable method of achieving it.
