Air-Commodore Harveyasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether, in view of the further development of attacks by Communist bandits in Malaya, and in particular the incident in which they killed 21 Malayan troops and police in an ambush, it is proposed to take any additional steps to increase the effectiveness of the anti-bandit campaign.
§ Mr. J. GriffithsHis Majesty's Government are determined to increase the effectiveness of the campaign by all means at their disposal; several new measures have recently been announced and the requirements of the situation will be kept under constant and urgent review.
