§ Mr. Byersasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty on what date his Department received the report of Rear-Admiral A. C. G. Madden on the Organisation of the Naval Ordnance Inspection Corps; and when he expects to be in a position to make a statement concerning these improvements.
§ Mr. W. EdwardsThe Madden Committee reported in April, 1948. Its recommendations are still being considered, and I cannot forecast when it may be possible to make any general statement. I am, however, hopeful that decisions will be reached within the next few weeks on those recommendations which are concerned with improvements in existing conditions of service.
