Evansasked the Minister of Education, in view of the fact that no 132W new registrations will be entered in the register of the Royal Society of Teachers, if he will introduce legislation to protect the public from the operations of inadequately qualified persons claiming to be teachers of music and art, and defining how the qualifications of these are to be assessed.

Friend a copy of Circular 173, which shows the qualifications, including qualifications in music and art, which are accepted at the present time for granting the status of qualified teacher for the purposes of the Primary and Secondary Schools (Grant Conditions) Regulations.
