§ 62. Commander Agnewasked the Minister of Agriculture on what date he expects to be able to estimate the size of the home crop of broccoli to be marketed in the autumn and winter season, 1949–50.
§ Mr. G. BrownAn estimate of the size of the autumn crop should be available at the beginning of October, and of the winter crop early in the New Year.
§ 63. Commander Agnewasked the Minister of Agriculture if he will ascertain from representatives of the home broccoli producing industry their views regarding the need for an increase in the duty on any broccoli imported into this country during the autumn and winter season, 1949–50; and if he will then make representations to the President of the Board of Trade as to the necessity for such an increase in duty.
