§ Mr. StracheyDetailed figures of the weight of arrivals for the years in question are available only for fish passing through Billingsgate market. A large part of the fish consumed in London is consigned directly to the fishmongers and fish friers, and is therefore not included in these figures. No records are kept of the value of the fish passing through Billingsgate.
