asked the Minister of Food what is the retail price and the subsidy per pound of each kind of cheese sold on the ration.

Mr. Strachey

The retail price of cheese sold on the ration is 10d. per pound. The average subsidy on imported cheese is about Is. 1½d. and on home produced cheese about 2s. 4¾d. per 1b.
