§ Mr. Walkdenasked the Minister of Education if he is aware that because many children of five years of age cannot be found accommodation in primary schools they also lose the right to participate in the scheme providing milk for infants free or at reduced prices; and what action he intends to take to rectify this anomaly.
§ Mr. TomlinsonLocal education authorities have no power to include children who are not at school in the milk in schools scheme. My right hon. Friend the Minister of Food has agreed to allow a supplementary domestic ration of 1½ pints a week for children whose admission to school is delayed after their fifth birthday.
