Mr. Reidasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he will make a statement on the objections to his recent meat contract with the Argentine brought to his notice by the American Government on the ground that it is contrary to the Anglo-American Loan Agreement and the Draft Charter of the International Trade Organisation.
§ 73. Mr. Fernyhoughasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has any further statement to make to the House with regard to the recent negotiations for a trade agreement with the Argentine.
§ Mr. MayhewOwing to the timing of the signature of the Agreement in Buenos Aires, I regret that I am not at this moment in a position to make a statement. I understand that my right hon. and learned Friend, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, will be making a reply on this subject tomorrow.
