Mr. Creech JonesTwo hundred and twelve houses for workers have been completed since the war, and 104 are under construction. Houses are allocated by a Housing Committee appointed by the two township authorities. In the Fortress area the Committee works on a points system, and in the suburb of Sheikh Othman the Committee allocates houses to former occupants of shacks, which are destroyed as part of the re-housing scheme.
