§ Mr. TomlinsonProvisional returns show that there were 5,550,000 children in maintained and assisted primary and secondary schools (other than special schools) in January, 1949. In reply to the second part of the Question, I have nothing to add to the answer given to the hon. Member for Mile End (Mr. Piratin) on 30th June.
