Mr. Sorensenasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies, in view of the number of colonial peoples arriving in this country in the hope of securing suitable employment, what consultations have taken place between colonial Governments and His Majesty's Government in this country in regard to controlling, advising and selecting colonial subjects who desire to come to this country for employment purposes.
§ Mr. Rees-WilliamsI am in frequent consultation with colonial Governments about advice to colonial subjects who intend to come to this country to seek work. It is not practicable to control or select British subjects who travel privately at their own expense.
