§ Sir W. Darlingasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware that the public offices of his Department in Edinburgh were closed on Whit Monday; and whether he will reconsider this practice, in view of the inconvenience caused by the adoption of English holidays in Scotland.
§ Mr. BarnesIt has been the custom for some years for the offices of my Department in Edinburgh to close on Whit Monady. I have no record of any complaints and in the circumstances do not think a change is necessary.
