§ Mr. TomlinsonOn 31st March, 1948, there were in maintained and assisted primary and secondary schools and all special schools 31,133 graduate teachers and 122,099 non-graduate trained teachers, including about 9,000 emergency-trained teachers. There were, in addition, 2,513 teachers in maintained and assisted schools and establishments about whom particulars were not available at the time of this return.
