§ Mr. Bartlettasked the Minister of Labour what steps he has in mind to encourage the training of boys for rural crafts for which there is at present no apprenticeship scheme.
§ Mr. IsaacsIt is primarily the responsibility of the crafts themselves to consider their needs and devise, either for districts or nationally, such measures for the training of boys as they may deem appropriate. In co-operation with other interested parties, the Youth Employment Service will be prepared, if requested, to give any assistance in its power in the preparation and operation of apprenticeship or other training schemes.
