§ 69. Mr. Sparksasked the Minister of Health by how much the rents of furnished tenancies have been increased and reduced by the Furnished Houses (Rent Control) Tribunals; and how many cases have so far been referred to them for decision.
§ Mr. BevanTo 31st January, 1949, the rents of furnished tenancies have been reduced in 16,207 cases by an amount equivalent to £9,316 5s. 6d. per week. In the same period rents have been increased in 284 cases but no figures are available for the amount of increase. 34,940 cases have so far been referred to Tribunals.
