§ 70. Mr. Walker-Smithasked the Minister of Health whether he will reconsider the proposed Middle Lea Sewage Scheme, in view of the heavy cost thereof and the burdens likely to be imposed on the County of Hertfordshire.
§ Mr. Blenkinsop:The scheme is at present under consideration and due regard is being paid to the cost. The cost of the works would in the first place be borne mainly by the New Town Development Corporations served by the scheme, and it is not proposed at present that any part of it should fall on the Hertfordshire County Council.
