§ 7. Professor Savoryasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs why the protection of the interests of the Danish-minded minority in South Schleswig was not included in the Occupation Statute for Western Germany among the powers specifically reserved to the Occupying Powers.
§ Mr. BevinThe policy of His Majesty's Government with regard to the South Schleswig minority question has been to encourage the two parties concerned in Schleswig-Holstein to work out a permanent settlement to their mutual satisfaction. We consider this preferable to any temporary solution based on the continued right of the Occupying Powers to intervene.
